My husband is immune to pouting, darn it.

by Lynn on April 13, 2010

My husband said no…

So I held my breath until my face turned blue.
But he said one dog was enough already.

I gazed flirtatiously at him and batted my eyelashes.
He asked me if I had something in my eye.

I made loud blubbering sobs.
He pointed to our new, unstained carpet and shook his head.

I flopped onto the couch and pouted.
He sat in the recliner and turned on the TV.

My friend’s dog had puppies, and I put these pictures all around the house.
Yet my husband still said no.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

My husband has a will of iron.
I have the will of a wet gooey pretzel.

OH MY GOSH!!! This is my life reversed (first of all). Here’s what you do. Take hubs for a little visit. If the man doesn’t have the will power of a – (too early in the morning for comparisons like that. my mind has only one cup of coffee) – - – the man will turn to a mushy fella. just saying. good luck and keep us posted on your progress. :)

Now that would have to be the one time I disregarded what my husband said.
At least one, if not two of those adorable angels would be coming home with me!
Although, I have to admit, that I LOVE your pooch and I would not want to make him jealous by bringing another fluffy ball home to love.
Tough choices all around!

Awwwwww…………………they are pretty hard to say no to! My hubby likes to turn the tables and does it to me! We already have 3 dogs and 1 cat!

Sometimes I wish I could live out in the country where there is no restriction on how many pets you can have………… : )

Wow I wish I had that willpower when it comes to cake and other really wonderful things. The puppies really are the cutest.

Tammy April 13, 2010 at 1:20 pm

Ok..first they are adorable. My question to you is who would be taking care of the pups? You or him? Who would be bathing the pup, feeding the cute little one, playing with him, cleaning up after him.. shall I go on? If he is a true animal lover… he will fall for that face in about 2 seconds flat! Good luck!!

How cute! My 5 year old son has really been pushing for a dog these past 2 months. So far Daddy has managed to hold out (and he’s usually the pushover).

Goodness gracious those are the cutest doggies EVER!
*no offense to your lovely little doggie, though.

momstheword April 16, 2010 at 4:55 pm

Awwwww! They’re so cute. My hubby always said one dog was enough too. However, I am allergic to our beagle and can’t really cuddle or enjoy him much, so hubby agreed to let me get our poodle. Funny thing is he and the boys didn’t want a poodle and now they lover her.

I am just amazed at how two dogs isn’t really much different from one dog, when one of ‘em is big and the other is little! Except they do make noise sometimes when they play and one barking always gets the other one started.

JulieD April 17, 2010 at 2:10 pm

That is will of iron…but what would he do if the puppy was right in front of his face? :)

I love your blog! These pictures are my favorite so far…your husband and my husband have a lot in common. You and I…well, I don’t want to say that it’s a female thing, this weakness for cute little balls of fur, but…yeah. I’m having a hard time NOT asking you how to get one of these cute babies, and I have TWO, DOS, 2, II, dogs. Good job with the pictures. You should be in sales!
