I remember the first moment I caught a glimpse of my future husband. On my way home to my dorm, a large figure lumbered into few. His face was flushed with exertion, and his hair was mussed. He had very broad shoulders and he was wearing gray sweatpants.
I thought he was a hunk. My friend pulled me over and introduced us. As usual, I said something incredibly urbane and witty like, “Um, hi.” I don’t think I dazzled him with my incredible grasp of the English language.
Fortunately, he was tired and hungry. Perhaps he spoke with me because I smelled faintly of mozzarella. You see, I spent most of my free time finding excuses to eat at the local pizzeria. My predilection for italian food paid off, because the scent of oregano and basil momentarily distracted my future husband on his way to the cafeteria. For him, it was like at first sniff.
For me, it was like at first sight. He was a tall, hulking dude, covered in yards of gray fleece. Something about that gray fleece made me giddy.
We became friends first. Luckily, our college was relatively small, so we ran into each other often. He kidnapped my teddy bear, surely a sign that he liked me. I liked that he wore gray sweats. We started dating when we both graduated from college. Years later, I’m still happy to watch him walk around in gray sweats.
Tell me, what was your beloved wearing when you first met?

The first time I noticed him, he was sitting in front of my in 10th grade English class. We were studying “Julius Caesar” and he answered a question. I not only liked the way he answered the question, I noticed his brown corderoy Levi’s and his tush. I am not really sure when we actually “met” because we had several classes together the following year. I just remember those brown pants!
I saw right through the clothes and visualized the lovely person she is. Shame on you, what were you thinking? I always remember her long blonde hair pulled back and held with a leather hair holder thingy that had a wooden pin through it. Like you I can remember the spot and the moment I saw her.
Loved that! Who doesn’t dig a dude in sweats eh? Hawt!
My other half and I met online – which is sorta creepy and awesome all at once. The first time I saw him outside a photograph, was on cam. He had the most amazing smile and adorable eyes I’d ever seen. Our first meeting was at the airport in Holland. He was wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt that said ”For Sale by Girlfriend, Must go!” – even in the flesh, he still had the most amazing smile and adorable eyes I’d ever seen.
So I bought him

i will never forget our second date. he had a new sweatshirt, yet one with foundation sealant on it. I had spent hours getting ready fretting over every last detail. I thought it was sweet that he was not trying to impress me. he was just him. take it or leave it. I took it : ) coming from sits. cute blog.

Oh. This is a good one. I met my future husband when I was an 18-year-old, squeeky clean high school cheerleader. It was at my sister’s wedding where he (23 at the time) was wearing this black shirt with dragons on it, and shoes with flames embroidered around the side. Also, he had long curly hair. It’s funny, because he is nothing like what the picture portrays, I think he was going through a phase. But, I totally fell in love.

Scrubs…..we met at the hospital where we both were working.
We,too, met online . First time I saw him on my cam,he had on a white shirt and jeans…first time in person, he was walking down a ramp in the airport coming to see me. He had on knee-length shorts and a collared polo shirt . He didn’t just walk…he sauntered…nuuuuuuum, nuuuuuum !! GREAT legs…quite the tall glass of water, lemme tell ya ! ;o)
While my love wasn’t wearing gray sweat pants, he was crying his eyes out (not really, but that’s how I tell the story) about being dumped. He picked me up and a few other friends to hang out and blubbered about being dumped. I don’t know why, but it was that night that made me want to start dating him.

My husband and I worked together at a newspaper. I was the editor and he worked in the press room, a pressman. He told me he was attracted to me but thought I was “out of his league”. He has the best butt in blue jeans I have even seen in person. (Up till then I thought Starsky had the best butt ever, tells you how old I am LOL). He would tell me “Good morning georgous every time we passed. One morning I thought to myself that he might actually be flirting. Once I realized that and stared fliriting back it was a few months and I almost gave up on him because he hadn’t asked me out. One day we were standing outside the building smoking and the conversation led to us getting together. He came over that night and we have been together ever since. He said he was “shy” and that is why he didn’t ask me out. He didn’t stay shy long. We have been together 8 years, married 3.
He was wearing jeans and a t-shirt but I fell in love with his motorcycle. He rode up to the restaurant and within 15 seconds, I asked if I could give him a hug. I did and only found out years later that he doesn’t really like strangers touching him. lol!

A pastel plaid shirt and khaki dress pants…it was Easter. I drove 3 hours to meet him for his church’s sunrise service. We were engaged 2 months later. I don’t even like the shirt. But he still has it
MyHero came to meet me at my place of work. The outside salesman kept trying to fix us up. He came in wearing tan Levi’s with a matching tan Levi jacket. I thought he was pretty arrogant at the time (he was-he changed-he isn’t). The next time I saw him he was wearing a baby blue LEISURE suit (LOL) with a blue shirt with blue strawberries on it & cream colored loafers! WOW! Does that date me, or what? Anyway-he looked much better second time around.

I would rather tell when I first met your husband. He was about 10. Already tall and handsome, I’m sorry I don’t remember if he was wearing grey sweats. What I do remember is fishing together on the Delaware and for some reason I needed to borrow his shoes. I think he was already wearing a size 10 so that didn’t work out well. And to tell you the truth I don’t know if we caught fish or not but we had fun. Maybe someday we will fish together again.
