Once upon a time,
a family sent their precious princess to lacrosse camp.
Princess Tulip was as delicate as a flower.
The Queen worried about sending her so far away,
but the King insisted that it would be “good” for her.
After a long banishment from the kingdom,
Princess Tulip finally returned home to the loving embrace of the Queen.
The Queen screamed in anguish when she saw what Princess Tulip brought home.
It was a huge bruise the size of a lacrosse ball.
The King tried to explain that this was normal for a lacrosse goalie.
The Queen nodded graciously, pushed him out of the castle, and locked the door.

I was so hoping for a happier ending where Princess Tulip becomes queen of the lacrosse team and leads them all to a glorious victory over a team of evil ogres.
Oh well, I guess not every fairy tale can have a fairy tale ending.

Funny how something like that hurts twice – the kid first, then the mom …
Many modern fairytales are re-makes of classics such as “Cinderella” or “Little Red Riding Hood,” but if you’re imaginative and follow these simple rules of writing a fairytale then your story may be mentioned with one of the classics one day.

It looks bad. The queen must be really upset. But I think the king thought of it this way, NO PAIN, NO GAIN! Your princess must have enjoyed too much at lacrosse camp that she had herself injured.
