I finally know what my dog is sniffing.
Here, she spent a LOT of time sniffing the fox tracks in our front yard.
If only she’d get them to stop yipping at 1:30am.
I can only assume the above tracks belong to the crows.
They are the only big birds hanging around right now.
I’ve often wondered how they –
SQUIRREL!!!!!!!
Sorry, I lose my focus whenever I see one.
They sit in the tree branches and throw nuts at me. Highly annoying.
These next tracks do NOT belong to a squirrel.
They belong to our neighborhood deer.
The doe on the left has a broken ankle that didn’t heal properly, so she drags her foot.
As a result, she’s very popular with the randy bucks…’cause she can’t outrun them.
Speaking of women who are extremely attractive to virile men…
Oh, silly me.
That’s MY footprint.
Has it snowed in your neighborhood yet?

See that would be a great homeschool field trip but since we don’t have any snow to see the foot prints I guess we just have to admire all the birds that flew down from your house that are now enjoying our birdbath. There’s a line 10 birds long and I think they are sick of holding their towels. *wink*
XOXO

So far all we’ve gotten is rain. Lots and lots of rain. And when it’s not raining it’s overcast. And then the rain turns into ice. If it’s going to be cold enough to freeze I wish nature would do us the courtesy of letting it snow. Snow is so much nicer than ice.

Great photos! We did get about 6 inches one day last month. It has all melted. I guess we are getting more next week!

Love the track marks! We’ve only had dustings of snow in the Chicagoland area. I wish we’d get one big snowstorm but I don’t think it’s going to happen.
You certainly have a wild life — I mean a lot of wild life — at your place
How wonderful to have all those critters in your front yard and am I the only one who wonders how the crows stay warm? To answer your question, has not snowed in San Diego and in Utah it was too cold to snow!! How cold is too cold to snow you ask? How about eight below at six pm only to drop to 45 below at two a.m. but arm up to a toasty two below to ski in…and then the power went off. While fun I am so glad I live in San Diego! (btw…I am certain your cutie husband finds those footprints very desirable!)
