Without any leaves on the trees, we can see the hawks quite clearly.
Rather than pose for pictures, they’re more interested in looking for dinner.

This guy was in our front yard yesterday afternoon.
It was a very cold day.
When I realized he was standing on one foot, I wondered where the other one was.

I’m just glad that hawk was too cold to fly away and stayed to let himself be photographed. I see hawks all the time, but they always fly away when I get out my camera. I guess you can only get close when it’s cold out. They’re like ducks who are very friendly and interested in the bread I bring them in the winter but couldn’t care less about it in the summer.

He has beautiful feathers, doesn’t he? And he was clearly looking at you, wondering if he could carry you off for dinner, I think!!
they are beautiful
How very beautiful! I think he has his foot tucked up to keep himself warm. I’m about to take my morning walk and I’m just hoping to see a Seagull.
They look so beautiful and amazing.
